How To Make Money From Home

So you want to learn easy ways to make money from home without spending any money to do it? Well here are 6 ways I have found to help you with that!

1. Online Surveys Surveys

I have done this before, and this is a very popular way to make extra money online. You register for free and go from there. You will find a TON of options by searching for places to take surveys in Google.

Pros

  • Anyone can do these surveys if you have a computer or smart phone, and an internet connection
  • There is no limit to the work you can do, because you can take as many surveys as you want. You can sign up with different sites and do more.

Cons

  • Most of the time you will be earning “product credits” instead of cash.
  • You have a better chance of getting good survey opportunities if you live in a wealthy, highly populated country (the US). There are not as many opportunities in other countries.
  • You may have to download different kinds of software onto your computer to complete some surveys.

2. Fiverr.com Fiverr

If you can create a digital product of some kind, that can be delivered very quickly without having to do too much individual work, Fiverr can be a GREAT business opportunity! Especially if you are living with a currency that is worth less than US dollars. You can set up a free profile on Fiverr describing what you are offering, and it would be a good idea to get some great feedback on there from friends who have tried it out. You can also set up bundled products for more than a Fiverr. Another awesome plus is that if people love your work they can leave you a tip!

Pros

  • You can create a business around work that you enjoy.
  • You are your own boss.
  • You have the ability to transfer clients out of Fiverr and into becoming better paying clients for you.

Cons

  • There is a lot of competition so it can be slow to get work.
  • You will generally earn less than $5 for each job, so be careful committing to something that will take a lot of time.
  • You rely on people selecting you
  • There are tight deadlines

3. Freelancing

If you have writing, editing, web design, copy writing, and graphic design skills, you can get work by Computer creating a profile on a freelancing site. You can go on there and bid for jobs. Guru and Elance are a couple examples. This is a good way to make extra money, but the rates are not high so again it is better for people living with a currency that is lower than the US.

Pros

  • Freelance sites are a great way to get new clients
  • You can build your skills by doing work that you enjoy
  • You can start by bidding low, and increase your bids as you build credibility with testimonials and good feedback

Cons

  • You have to spend a lot of time (unpaid) searching for and creating proposals
  • Your income is completely dependent on you winning jobs

4. Watching Over Pets and Children

In most places you can look after other peoples’ animals in your home while they are away. You can also watch them in their homes, but you will have to leave your home to do so. You can market your service in many ways, such as flyers, noticeboards, Facebook/Google pages, word of mouth, etc. Dogs and Cats

You can also look after children while their parents work or do what they need to do. However, for children there are regulations regarding the environment in which you are going to look after them, and qualifications you may need to have. Your local council should be able to give you information regarding the regulations in your area. Furthermore, it’s probably not a good idea to combine caring for both animals and children at the same time.

Pros

  • If you have the qualifications you need and the right kind of environment, you can make a solid living looking after pets and/or children in your own home.
  • The work might not be easy, but if you have a genuine love of children and/or animals you are still Child Swinging your own boss.
  • You also have a tax advantage for this work, because a large part of your home/utilities become tax deductible.

Cons

  • Your home may not feel like yours anymore if you have it flooded with other people’s animals or children.
  • Also take into consideration the time you will have to spend setting up and cleaning up after the pets and children leave.

5. Working From Home for Someone Else

It might sound obvious, but make sure you check online employment sites for stay at home jobs. I’ve found some on Indeed.com before. You have the ability to set up email alerts for jobs, which means you can sit back and wait for emails letting you know how to apply for the jobs. Home

Pros

  • Depending on your skills and availability it is very possible to find a job that will pay you well by working from home.
  • You will have a lot more flexibility by working from home, which can be a HUGE bonus and help you spend more time with your family.

Cons

  • You will not be your own boss.
  • You will have to have discipline to be able to step away from household chores when you need to.
  • Friends and family will need to be informed clearly that you are not necessarily available just because you work from home. Or else they will drive you nuts, and you won’t get any work done.

6. Online Marketing

Personally, I love the idea of working from home and being my own boss. I am also a very decent writer. I am learning more and more about online marketing so I can build a business where I can market what I am passionate about. It can be quite a learning curve, but I am a part of Wealthy Affiliate where it is VERY easy to learn and create a business online. It is FREE to do! WA Starter

Pros

  • You can build a business on your own terms and with no financial resource.
  • You can spend small amounts of time on your business depending on where and when you are able to do so, and you can increase the time you spend on your business once you start making money (which can be very fast), and reduce other work commitments.
  • You can eventually build a business that doesn’t require you to work on it all the time.
  • You can build residual recurring income.

Cons

  • This is not a quick way to make money. There is a lot of learning and work to do before you can expect to see any money.
  • You need a high level of commitment and discipline to be able to do all the learning and work. Because you will not see any financial rewards for your efforts at first.
  • In order to get access to more learning you have to upgrade to the Premium Membership , but you do not have to upgrade.

So those are the 6 ways I have found to make money from home without spending any money.
